The Girl Who Went Off the Fiscal Cliff

Mara Rooney as Lisbeth Salander
A few nights ago my husband and I watched the movie The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo. I had previously listened to it as a book on tape while driving to and from work for a week or two. It is an excellent movie/story/book. The movie alludes to the socialistic economy of Sweden, where the story is set, especially with regard to the main character, Lisbeth, being a ward of the state at age 23. She is taken care of by the state and has a (pig of a) guardian who doles out her government-awarded money to her.

I tell you this because conservative commentator and author British-born Mark Steyn  recently made a comment on Sean Hannity's show about the looming fiscal cliff and how, if things continue devolving in this country like they are under Obama, the U.S. soon will be like a "big Sweden." Sadly, about half of the people in this this country would like that to happen. Here's the Steyn cliff clip.
